This is site is the only place we have found that sells replacement cotton candy heating heads for mid-level machines. The prices are good and this is one of 2 different options. We have actually purchased both kinds since we have 2 different types of machines. This one is meant for Carnival King machines found on here. Ours is not CK. It still works with our machine and I'm sure many other brands that use this style head. The time was packed really well and arrived in great condition. It took about 15 minutes to install since I have done it before. Even if you haven't, it shouldn't take more than 30 minutes to replace the old head. After replacing we fired up the machine and it heated up like it should. We then added a little water to it to clean it out before making cotton candy. This head actually outperformed the other model. This one had candy shooting out immediately. Happy with this purchase and definitely recommend.

The heating element inside the head will go out. That is a certainty. It is impossible to tell when it will happen. One of the signs will be that the sugar will not lift above the head and will lay out flat around the head on the bowl. The reason this happens is the electricity is having a hard time circulating through the machine because of the resistance in the heating element. This causes the motor spinning the head to slow down. It is highly recommended that if you are buying this machine to buy an extra head. It would be great if the head was of higher quality so that this wouldn't be an issue. DO NOT over-tighten screws that hold the dome on. These will strip out and the head is useless at that point. The head is also extremely difficult to remove from the machine. The easiest way to remove it is to unscrew the screw holding the head on then remove the belt from the motor wheel and turn the machine on. This will heat up the head, but the head will not spin. The heat will cause the metal to expand. Once it is hot, turn off the power and unplug the machine. Then, using GLOVES or a towel, you can pull the head off. Make sure youThe head is extremely difficult to clean. The best thing that cleans the head is a wire brush on a drill. Do this very often. The longer you wait the worse it is to clean.

After our Carnival King C.C. Machine Heating Head went out we were concerned that we had lost our entire machine. Later we had discovered it was only the heating element that went out. This was such an easy fix - the replacement on the CCM28 Model machine is a breeze. We have had no issues since the replacement.
