Product Features
The stainless steel front, door, sides, and mesh strainer provide ultimate durability and are resistant to rust. And the front door panel protects controls from damage. This ensures that you get the most use out of your fryer, while minimizing the time and money spent on repairs. The thermostatic temperature dial control, adjustable between 200-400 degrees Fahrenheit, allows you to keep the oil at the perfect temperature for whatever you're cooking. Plus, intuitive dial controls and snap-action thermostat provide a convenient and efficient user experience while the safety shut-off provides maximum safety.
The flat bottom design of this fryer provides unique benefits. This fryer does not have a cold zone, unlike many other fryers. This maximizes frying capacity and evenly heats all products to the perfect temperature so you can continue to provide your customers with donuts, funnel cakes, and other fried products. In addition, the products are able to float freely over the stainless steel mesh strainer as they cook, perfect for pastries or hushpuppies. Once the products have finished frying, the products can be lifted out using the mesh strainer with cool-touch handles, making it easy to batch fry.
This unit comes with a drain extension pipe to make it easier to drain your oil into an oil filtration machine or oil shuttle. This unit requires a liquid propane connection for operation.

The pilot is a problem. I’ve only had this equipment for a few months I started having problems when it would get to a proper heat level, the pilot goes out and then we cannot relight. I’m loosing sales because we cannot get it to work. I called a repair guy and he said it would be no less than $ to fix the pilot. After reading some of the other reviews, I would not recommend getting this equipment since it continues to have pilot problems and the company doesn’t seem to care.

Our fair food stand owns two of these units now - one 30lb unit and one 40lb unit. We bought the 40lb one last year, and just received the 30lb version this week, which we'll use just to make fried Oreos. The 40lb unit last year did well over 1,000 funnel cakes and 5,000 fried Oreos during a 12 day event and never skipped a beat. Overall, they work well, especially given the price point. When we received the first unit, I had a difficult time lighting the pilot light - but once we got it lit the first time, it lit much easier going forward. The same thing happened with the 30lb one we just bought - probably a good five minutes of pushing the pilot button while holding a flame next to it to get it to light, but once it did, it ran without issue. We just ran the new one for an hour or so and did some light cooking with it to verify it functions properly, which it does. One thing worth noting - the listing on the site is wrong regarding the 30lb fryer gas connection. It's actually a 1/2" connection on the 30lb version, and 3/4" on the 40lb version. Not a huge deal, but had to buy an additional fitting to have the connection made. We will see how long these work, but for the price, even having to replace them every few years feels worth it.

This unit is horrible! Please don’t waste your money or your time on this. I bought the carnival king funnel maker for my first festival this past weekend and i was very disappointed. It never got hot. We had it on 400F for 4 hours & could not make one funnel cake. It actually cost me more money instead of making money. And the pilot switch was hard to push to light. I will be return this unit and expecting a full refund. It’s a cold “hot mess”. This company needs to take this off the site and revamp this and try again. I tried to give it the benefit of the doubt after reading the comments hoping it was just the operators being it cost so much, but no it’s the unit itself. Plz don’t waste your money.

I will never order from the company again horrible customer service. This a brand new fryer professionally installed and doesn’t work. I lite the pilot and once it La on and reaches a temperature it shuts off and have to wait til it cools to restart the process. Bad for my business on first day. The company says it only have a 30 day warranty when I ordered as my business was getting built and now it’s too late because it’s pass 30 days even though I never used the fryer, just horrible I spend too much money with this company to get treated like this.

Our Shriners unit bought this to cook funnel cakes and fried oreos at our rodeo events and other festivals to help raise money for our philanthropy. Yes, you can most certainly use a standard 30lb propane cylinder with a 11" WC regulator thats rated for 90-100k BTUs to run this model. You can find those regulators pretty much anywhere as 11" WC is a pretty standard pressure for most grills and appliances. Just make sure you get one for the BTU's on the fryer. 100k BTU worked great for us. Thats exactly how we use it. It holds heat PERFECTLY while cooking 6 funnel cakes at a time, constantly and non-stop. It does not have a reheat period between batches and it makes very tasty fried goods!!! We also used the 8" rings provided on this website, and it also works great for fried Oreos! Its a big unit however. It takes two of us to unload from the pickup truck but its not heavy, just wide! It is decently portable as you can see in the photos. We wound up using the provided legs and sitting it on the concrete floor, and used a camp chair to have a comfortable full-time cooking setup! A 30lb propane bottle gives us about 8-12 hours of run time at 360 degrees and cooking cakes constantly. We highly recommend this fryer. So far after after several uses its been a great unit. Cooks great, no hot or cold zones, plenty of room for 6 8" cakes to cook at a time, and will hold its temperature SOLID for the entire time you're frying with it. Get the funnel cake rings, they make it a breeze :-)
