I bought this awesome polycarbonate scoop by Carnival King, thinking I might use it for a large bin of rice. However, after seeing the narrow profile in person, I decided that it was best used as a narrow ice scoop because it allows you to serve narrower glasses without ice falling out over the sides; that said, the same qualities would make it an ideal popcorn scoop, as you don't want to lose popcorn when pouring it into buckets.

It is a very sturdy scooper. I was worried about food getting trapped in the handle but I realized that it's closed off so food can't get inside. This is a larger scoop despite the small capacity so it won't fit into smaller containers.
